Educators experience significant stress in their lives. In fact, research shows that 93% of teachers report “high levels of job stress” (Riley-Missouri, 2018). This 38-week course (August 7th through May 13th) provides weekly activities and ideas to mitigate tension to help educators perform at their best.
Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, participants will engage in a variety of ways to learn about and reflect on their own self-care to be at their best for students and themselves every day. Each week, participants will read a short chapter from their book and then apply the topic to their daily routine. All assignments will be submitted weekly using Canvas, an online professional learning platform. Every 9 weeks, participants will also be required to meet virtually via Zoom to review material, share insights, and develop community.
Educators will be charged a $10 Canvas technology fee.
Participants can earn 40 PD hours or 3 graduate credit hours from Lindenwood University. If selecting graduate credit hours, participants will be required to enroll and pay the course fee of $75 per credit hour.
Deadline to register is July 24th.
The first 50 ROE #11 educators to register for this course will receive a book for free. Those educators will be notified and book pick up will occur beginning July 26th through August 7th.
