This workshop will overview the 1995-1997 Kaiser-Permanente research study, focusing on adverse childhood experiences (ACE). Recognizing the breadth of the study at the time it was conducted, attention will be given to what societal changes have occurred since then and what traumas have resulted. Topics including brain development, genetics, environment, and lifestyle will be addressed with resources provided for further study/discussion.
