In this workshop, Brandon K. Wright of Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd. will explore the major topics in education law evolving in 2019. Participants will spend time learning about recent cases affecting how educators think about major school law issues. Come learn not only the “basics”, but delve deeper into the hot topics leading to litigation for school districts. With a practical and fresh approach, this workshop will use real-life discussions about matters that affect educators, including: student discipline; the role of technology, social media, and student privacy; school safety; and Section 504.
