We invite you to join us for a book study on Shifting the Balance: 6 Ways to Bring the Science of Reading into the Balanced Literacy Classroom (Grades 3-5)!
This book study will examine a number of “misunderstandings” and common practices then propose more evidence-based shifts that will lead to higher outcomes for students. Participants will read individually and participate in scheduled online discussions. You will need to purchase your own book (or request that your district purchase it for you).
Required online meeting dates: September 11, September 25, and October 9th
Time: 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Educators will receive 9 professional development hours for participating.
