On April 8, 2024 at 2 pm there will be a Total Eclipse in our region. It will vary from 99 to 100% of the sun eclipsed across ROE#11. This will be a once in a career opportunity. Plan to share with students because it won’t be close again until 2045. During this event, we will cover what is really happening, the step-by-step changes in the sun and around us that we will be observing, and how to prepare students to safely observe the eclipse will all be covered. Participants will receive solar eclipse glasses, UV beads, and build pinhole viewing devices. Mr. Sullivan will also share and discuss curriculum activities for grades PreK to Grad School, Citizen Science Activities and free apps to enhance learning opportunities before, during, and after the event.
