The Learning Technology Center is offering several workshops to support schools and libraries as they complete the E-Rate 471 in order to receive discounts and reimbursements for internet access and network equipment for the 22-23 school year.

These workshops will walk participants through filling out and submitting Form 471. As part of the E-Rate application process, ALL APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT A FORM 471 EVERY YEAR FOR SERVICES, NEW OR ONGOING. Form 471 is a request for discounts on eligible products and services. Acceptable Form 471 submissions must include information on the recipients of services, discount calculations, costs of service, dates of service, and service provider(s). Applicants must have form 470 filed at least 28 days before filing Form 471. After that 28 day window, contracts may be signed, and additional details needed for the application can be discussed with the chosen providers.

The E-Rate application window will open on January 12th and close on March 22nd. All E-Rate 471 workshops will be held virtually this year from 9 AM – 12 PM.

NOTE: The E-Rate form is required for equipment and services each year. Participants should come prepared with signed contracts in order to participate in the hand-on component of this workshop.
