A New York Times Bestseller!  Join us for a book study on Brain Rules by molecular biologist, John Medina.

Most of us have no idea what’s really going on inside our heads. How do we learn? What exactly do sleep and stress do to our brains? Why is multi-tasking a myth?

During this book study we will discover how brain sciences could influence the way we teach our children and work. In each chapter, Medina describes a ‘brain rule’ – what scientists know for sure about our brains and then he offers transformative ideas for our daily lives. By the end of the book, you will understand how your brain really works – and how to get the most out of it.

All participants must purchase Brain Rules (Updated and Expanded): 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School by John Medina. This is approximately $12.00 on amazon. You are not required to have a paperback. Audiobooks and e-books are also options.

This book study will begin on Monday, July 6th and will wrap up on Monday, August 17th. Participants will be able to work at their own pace and all content will be uploaded to the Canvas LMS. Directions to access Canvas will be sent to all educators one week prior to the start of the event.

If participants complete entire book study, they can earn 10 Professional Development Hours.
